I Have 25 + Years Experience Working in the Mental Health Field Working in Psychiatric Hospitals, Detox & Rehab Facilities, Mental Health Clinics, and in Private Practice.

I have an Earned Doctorate in Sport & Performance Psychology, and Special Emphases in Exercise, Injury & Health Psychology. My Research Validated the Effectiveness of the “Flow Specific Guided Imagery (FSGI)” Audio MP3 I Created to Facilitate the “Peak Experience” (Flow) in Athletes During Performance. My Clients Continue to Benefit From My Expertise Using Imagery & Visualization Techniques.

I Received My Clinical License in 02/02/2000 Which I Currently Maintain. My Certification as a Clinical Qualified Supervisor Allow Me to Provide Supervision for Registered Mental Health Interns who are Pursuing Their Clinical Licensure in This State.

I Am Also an Athlete, Artist, Musician, Singer, Dancer, Writer, Speaker, and Humanitarian.  Growing Up a Tomboy, I Played A Variety of Sports Which Included Football, Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Track, Volleyball, as Well as Participating in Gymnastics. At That Time My Two Favorite Sports Were Football and Baseball. These Sports were the Most Popular Where I Grew Up in Wisconsin. As an Adult Living in Sunny Florida, I Still Enjoy Participating and Competing in Several Athletic Activities Including Tennis, Swimming, Softball, Flag Football, Beach Volleyball, and Golf. In My Early Years, Ballet, Tap Dancing Lessons and Performing In Recitals Gave Me a Love and Understanding for Performance, Which Continues to Grow as Well as Be of Help to My Clients.

I have an earned Doctorate in Sport & Exercise Psychology, with a special emphasis in Health Psychology from Capella University. I finished with an overall GPA of 3.944. As a Doctoral Student, the emphasis of my studies was based upon the Scholar – Practitioner Model. The program addressed working with athletes addressing performance, motivation, injury recovery, and life issues. My Coursework included theoretical foundations as well as applied applications and interventions in Sport and Exercise Psychology.

 This Study Validated the Effectiveness of Flow-Specific Guided Imagery (FSGI) and Relaxation as a Facilitator of the Flow State in Athletes.Flow-Specific Guided Imagery (FSGI) is an Effective Cognitive-Behavioral Intervention That Creates the Optimal Neural, Mind-Body Connection Resulting in Optimal Affective Altered States of Consciousness (OAASC). Athletes in the Study Reported Experiencing Feelings of Being “More Focused, More Confident, In the Zone, Unbeatable, Unstoppable, Awesome, and Able to Perform at a Higher Level”.
